Most residents report a punishing experience with serious maintenance and pest control failures. Roach infestations are the dominant complaint, alongside regular internet and water outages, poor repairs (especially bathtub work done repeatedly), and rent hikes that outpace improvements. Staff communication is chaotic; move-in charges surprise residents, deposit refunds are disputed, and management is hard to reach. A handful of graduate students and early residents praise proximity to campus and cite individual staff members (Ansib) as genuinely helpful. Maintenance teams handle emergency electrical and plumbing work quickly when they come. Yet these pockets of goodwill are drowned out by overwhelming accounts of negligence, water damage, mold risk, and the sense that problems are managed reactively rather than fixed.
